Two weeks ago, Jason and I went to Vegas for our friend's wedding. What a great time just the two of us....and a handful of friends. We got to stay out late, sleep in late, go to a fun show, and eat an all you can eat seafood buffet, which was AWESOME! We even made some $$!! We were happy to get home to the kids, but 5 days just the two of us was so needed and so much fun!

Starting Friday we got some serious snow. Mom made it down on Friday since dad's flight from Vegas was canceled. We got to make snowmen, 5 of them to be exact, bake cookies, watched movies, and even got some house painting done! In the next 24 hours, most of it was gone. We do love Colorado weather!

We had a wonderful Easter! We had the Rostvedt's, Howard's, Garrett's, and Elmer's over for lunch and an Easter egg hunt, on the porch since the yard was soaked! It was so fun to get the family together and celebrate! Hope you were blessed this Easter too!

Road Trip to Las Vegas and an Easter Party...& Tattoos!

I have so much updating to do! Let me start with Jason and I's new tattoos! We each got the kids names and something to symbolize each of them. With Cade's name we got flames and for Ava a rose. Mine is purple for her birthstone. Then, I got some angel wings around it to signify that they are always protected. Jason got the full angel praying. It was painful, but we are both very happy with them. You'll have to scroll down to see them. I got mine on my right shin and Jason got his on his left ab....ouch!! Next, we took a rode trip to Vegas last week. Yeah, I know what you are thinking...Vegas with kids! We had a great time though! The kids were great and had fun seeing what all Vegas had to offer. At night, Pat and Craig stayed with them so Jason and I could go out. One night we were out until 2 AM! Can't remember the last time I did that at it didn't have to with settling a crying baby! The weather was great and we got to stay one night with my dad. Mom just happen to be there the same weekend, so it was great fun. The ride home was a little challenging. We planned to stay in Grand Junction Sunday night, but word was they were expecting a foot of snow the next day. So, we drove through getting home at 3 AM Monday morning, not so fun but at least the kids slept in until 9:30! Jason and I are heading back this weekend for a friends wedding, just the two of us! Looking forward to it! Saturday, Bec and I took the kids to the Easter party at church. They had so much fun! They decorated cookies, made crafts, and of course, had a great Easter egg hunt. Our church does so many great things for the kids. Well, that's the update for now. I didn't want this to be a huge book! Happy Spring everyone!

Ava turns 1!

Like most people, I have really been doing most of our updating on Facebook. However, I still love to update the blog. I get to share more here. So, here are some pics from Ava's first birthday! I can not believe she is already 1, it's unbelievable! She is taking 5 to 6 steps at a time. She is getting braver and braver. And, she is no longer taking formula...can you say weekly pay raise??? She is eating everything we put in front of her. I tried to pick different pics than what I posted on Facebook. She is so blessed to be so loved!

Valentine's Day....and a First Crush???

Well, I was terrible at taking pictures this Valentine's Day. Me??? Yes, I know the camera happy girl didn't take pictures! I missed out on taking pictures of our date night. Bec, Jason, Jason, and I dropped the kids off at the church's babysitting night and went out to dinner just the 4 of us! It was so much fun and we had a great dinner at Ted's Montana Grill! Then, for Valentine's Day, Jason got me a bunch of beautiful tulips! Ava got some cute little toys and Cade got some Star Wars stuff. We had a very nice Valentine's Day...sorry I dont' have many pictures to show you how nice it was! Here is a cute pic of Ava. I took this same pic of Cade for his 1st Valentine's Day...what can I say, I'm a sucker for tradition! Can you say that Ava looks like her mommy???

So, my son, yes...my four year old!!! has his first little crush! Her name is Emily. She is in Cade's class and the teacher's daughter no doubt! He talks about her all the time and they have become such cute little friends. I helped with his Valentine's Day party and we were playing the game, "Valentine, Valentine, who has the Valentine?" Of course, when it was Cade's turn he took that heart right over to Emily. It was so cute!

Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day this year!

Happy Birthday Kristine!
Just getting to watch Grey's...
So, for those of you who also read Rebecca's blog...I apologize because you'll probably read some of the same things and see some of the same pictures. I am going to catch you all up and then post a bunch of pictures at the bottom. The end of January and beginning of February is no different for our family...crazy as all get out! We celebrated the Super Bowl at Tim & Ive's house with our family and a few friends. We had a great time, thanks for hosting guys...and thanks to LaDonna who entertained our kids for more than a few minutes :) We were bummed Arizona didn't pull it out! We also celebrated Meredith's 30th birthday! It started off at Sing Sing which was too much fun. Then we moved next door to Fado's, who had a rockin' band! I haven't been out that late in a very, very long time. Thanks Girls!! Also, celebrated Kristine's birthday. Her's was a pretty low key event at Bec's house. We had our favorite red wines, yummy dark chocolate cupcakes, food, chit-chat, and yes...ended up on Bec's bed watching last week's Grey's Anatomy. We are all hooked, except for Dana, just give us time we'll get her there :) My kids have been able to each spend a night with G'ma & G'pa's in the mountains. They had a great time and we had fun spending individual time with each of them. We've had our share of major stresses this past month as well and some not so wonderful times. Have to say...sorry...but ending the month bringing in our new president was not the highlight of my year! And, my parents have been dealing with the renter from, again sorry, HE**!! Seriously, she's a terrible human and has put my parents through terrible grief. But, we all have our health and each other, so live is pretty good. Hope you enjoy the pics! Okay, so the pics are at the top! I can't believe at this end of this month I'm going to have one year old daugher! One more thing, Yes this coming week in Random Act of Kindness Week! I'm very excited for this! So, do something nice for someone unsuspecting this week...do it more than once! Who knows, if you end up behind me in the Starbucks drive-thru you may just get a special treat!

I loved scrappin' these pics of my babies!
My Girls...AKA Bunco Group!

MK, Amy, Denise, Ive, LaDonna, Heather,
Dana, Meredith, Michelle, Bec, & me
(Lisa..had to go home early)
This year has started off with fun for me! We had our first Bunco of the year last week. We have such a great group of girls to play with! Just wanted to share them.
Then, on Saturday, thanks to my very sweet sister, who came and watched my kiddos so I could go get a facial from my darling friend MK! Thanks to both of you!! I had an amazing time! Never had a facial before...if you haven't go get one!! It was so relaxing, seriously, I would take this over a massage anyday! I got to wear a plush robe, soak my feet, have an awesome facial, and end with a shampoo and style. What a relaxing time that was so needed! Then, I headed off to scrap the night away with Bec and Michelle. What a great time we had! The two layouts above are a few I finished that night. I had a great weekend and some much needed "me" and "friend" time. Hope you get some time to enjoy yourself soon too, thanks for letting me share!

Anyway, we had a fantastic time and I'm so looking forward to the New Year! Hope everyone has a peaceful, relaxing New Year's Day!
